Karen, the pastor, is a blessing for this church and the Hominy Valley. She is super involved in the places the congregants most need and she cares deeply for everyone. The church is small in size and that creates an intimacy among those in the congregation. The church is engaged in many wonderful ministries, including a free community Monday night meal, a free food market on Thursdays in partnership with MANNA food bank, and a budding children's ministry. Most all of its members serve the greater community in some fashion, and that makes this church an excellent outlet for service oriented folks seeking to pay it forward and create a more equitable, peaceful, and environmentally sustainable environment in the Hominy Valley. In short, Montmorenci UMC is a place where you can put thoughts in to action and contribute to the greater good. What could be better than that?
